Knights of Columbus

Who We Are

The Knights of Columbus has been a fraternal group for Catholic men since 1882.  The Knights of Columbus consist of local councils which have members who are practicing Catholic men of age 18 years and older, and who commit to Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism and consequently are ready and prepared to respond to calls of volunteerism from parish, social, and community groups.  Trinity Council #4580 has been in existence since 1958 and our council chambers are located within the Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology.

Who We Serve

A strong relationship with the Sacred Heart Fathers for the past forty years has helped cultivate the Trinity Councils’ primary charity: to support the vocations of students studying for the Priesthood at Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology.  We have provided through the years an endowment fund of $100,000 for the Sacred Heart Seminary & School of Theology pipe organ in the Main Chapel and contributed for the school's upgrade of its technical information system.

Here at St. Mary Parish, the Knights conduct a “Tootsie Roll Drive” at a weekend’s Masses in Spring to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, and a “Life Savers for Life” drive in collaboration with the St. Mary Respect Life team at a weekend’s Masses in Fall to support Respect Life activities in the area.

Other charitable groups we support include:

St. Coletta School Milwaukee

Women’s Care Center

Tootsie Roll Program Aiding People with Intellectual Disabilities

LifeSavers for Life aid in the Sanctity of Life

Exceptional Chorus

Life Navigators

St. Mary’s Respect for Life Committee

Carmelite Sisters

Coats for Kids Program

Come Be Part of This Great Organization

A man has the opportunity to grow in his faith through our many programs and resources, and to live out his faith through service to God and his neighbor.  Also, as Knights, we believe our Order was founded to protect the livelihood of the Catholic Family.  And we pledge every resource we have to live up to that belief.
