Care of the Sick and Homebound

COMMUNION FOR THE SICK

Following the distribution of Communion at all weekend and Holy Day Eucharistic liturgies, adults are invited to take the Eucharist home for the sick. This is not limited to those who are seriously ill, but is for anyone who cannot come to Mass due to illness or infirmity.

REACHING OUT TO THE SICK

For those confined longer, a pastoral care minister can visit, pray, and bring Eucharist on a regular basis. This ministry reaches out to those in nursing and group homes, rehabilitation centers ,and other facilities, to provide prayer and Communion to those who are unable to attend Mass.

Contact the parish office if you or someone you love would like ongoing home visitation.

NURSING HOMES

Visits to nursing homes are made by pastoral care ministers. Should a member of the family take up residence in a nursing home, please notify the Parish Office.

HOSPITAL VISITATIONS

If you would like a pastoral care minister to visit someone in a hospital, contact the Parish Office. Many hospitals have a Pastoral Care Department where a priest or a chaplain is available.
