Burial

At the grave or place where the remains are entombed, there is a Rite of Committal celebrated.  Family members and friends along with the presiding minister or lay person offer prayers, once again, for the deceased person as they commit the remains to the final resting place.

Though we have no plots available for purchase in our cemetery, we do have niches available in the Columbarium.

Over the next months/year, family members and friends often have Masses celebrated for the peace of the soul of the deceased person.  Also, the parish offers grief ministry sessions to help loved ones cope with the loss of a loved one.  In November, St. Mary celebrates the lives of all those from the parish who have lost a loved one over the past year.
