Adult servers assist the presider at funeral liturgies performing the same duties as the youth servers perform at weekend liturgies. Training is accomplished on the job by pairing a new server with two seasoned servers. The parish averages 50 to 60 funerals a year. Adult servers are called through an automated system to determine their availability.
