Spanish Program
¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!
Vamos a trabajar juntos y aprender mucho.
(Welcome to Spanish Class!
We are going to work together and learn a lot.)
Objective:
Students will learn Spanish vocabulary and conversation through songs, dances, rhymes, and class activities.
- Grades K-2 attend Spanish for 30 minutes per week
- Grades 3-5 attend Spanish for 45 minutes per week
- Middle School have two 45 minute classes per week
Curricular Goals by Level:
- Primary (Grades K-2): Students are taught basic vocabulary and conversation. The main goal is to get students excited about learning and speaking a new language.
- Intermediate (Grades 3-5): Students continue to practice Spanish vocabulary and conversations each week. They also learn cultural customs and celebrations.
- Middle School (Grades 6-8): Students use a High School Spanish I book. Over the course of 3 years, students are taught all of the concepts covered in a Spanish I course.
