Chess Club

Club will consist of a 15-20 minute lesson for each child in a small group, along with competitive play.

Instructions from the International Academy of Chess will provide lessons based on ability level.

From beginner to advanced, all levels of play are welcome.

St. Mary took 4th grade at the Elmwood Chess Tournament and earned a trophy.  Great job!

Volunteers Needed

We ask that all parent volunteer for at least 2 chess club meeting dates. We have a large group of kids playing and need help with supervision. Chess knowledge is not necessary. We need at least 2-3 chaperones at each meeting to keep things in order and be able to keep dates scheduled.   Volunteers will be asked to put the room back together once done, make sure the kids clean up their garbage, vacuum, and wait until all children are picked up.

Please review the available slots and click HERE to sign up.

Please note that if you send a snack it must be nut free.
