Bring Your Own Device - BYOD

St. Mary Parish School has an Acceptable Student Use of Personally Owned Devices policy for students also known as BYOD. The full policy is found to your right in the 2nd column.

This policy will allow students to bring their own technology devices to school for use in our classrooms. Acceptable devices are limited to: laptops, iPads, iPods, Chromebooks, netbooks and eReaders (Kindle and Nook) with browsing capabilities for educational purposes only. Similar to other personally owned items, the school is not liable for the loss, damage, misuse, or theft of personally owned devices brought to school.

At this time cell phones will not be allowed in the BYOD program, as well as devices with cellular plans in place.

Please note that students are never required to bring in outside technology to school. All students will continue to be able to utilize our school equipment. No student will be left out of the instruction process.

If you would like your child to bring a device to school, please complete the BYOD Permission Form.
