Thanksgiving Bread Exchange - 2004

With a parish as large as St. Mary's, it is not always easy to connect with each other. One way we do that is through a bread exchange on Thanksgiving. You bring a loaf of bread and include your name and phone number in the wrapping. These breads on displayed on tables on either side of the sanctuary.

At the end of mass, those who brought a bread are invited to come and pick up someone else's bread. During the day, take a moment to telephone the person whose bread you picked up and wish them a happy Thanksgiving. And your phone will ring, too, with well wishes from the family who selected the bread you brought. This is a St. Mary's tradition, introduced by Father Art Heinze when he joined the parish more than a decade ago.
