Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, God gives us a deepening of the grace we received at Baptism and pours out the Holy Spirit upon us in the same way he poured out the Holy Spirit upon the apostles at Pentecost.  In doing so, He gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the Catholic faith by our words and actions.  

In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, teens must be at least 16 years old in order to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  In order to enter into Confirmation prep at St. Mary, teens should be actively growing in their faith throughout high school, normally through participation in Life Teen, our parish high school ministry, or through theology courses at a Catholic high school. 

Teens preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation are expected to fully participate in the Confirmation Preparation Program, including all formation, retreat, and service components.  Teens complete much of their formation in Confirmation Preparation with their sponsor, their chosen mentor for their faith journey.
