Good News People
Good News People is an exciting program that will inspire, engage and support you in being good news for others. It is a hope-filled and enriching, small group, parish-based program inviting you to new ways of understanding your faith, yourselves and the needs of the world around you.
About the Good News People Program
Through the Good News People Program, you will become more familiar with the biblical witness of Jesus and the call to discipleship through prayer, reflection and action.
The Good News People Program is a fourteen-session small group faith-sharing process (7 sessions in the Fall, 7 in the Spring) designed to broaden our awareness of our Catholic faith and the call to be disciples in the world today. It is a journey to deepen our faith, strengthen the bonds of community, and live out the Gospel call to be good news people.
The program engages:
- Sacred Scripture
- Teachings from the Catechism of the Catholic Church
- Inspirational Readings and reflections
- “Good News” Stories
- The Cultivation of Virtue to form us as discipleship
- Video segments provide first-hand stories of people who are living their faith and making a difference in concrete and significant ways.
Small groups meet in homes for 90 minutes. There is also a one-time interview experience.
